Billing & Cancellation
Payments, cancellation, and what happens to your site. This is Site Glow Up's refund and cancellation policy.
Effective: July 28, 2026
The Simple Version
You see your whole site — live, every page, on your phone and your laptop — before you pay anything. No card, no account hoops. If you don't like it, close the tab; there's nothing to refund because there was nothing to pay. After that, the money is simple: about $10–12 a month to keep it live, cancel in one click, and one optional upgrade if you want your own domain. Here's exactly how each part works.
Free to Build — There's Nothing to Refund
Every redesign starts with a free, live rebuild — we put your whole site up on a SiteGlowUp address so you can walk every page before you spend a penny. No credit card, no account hoops. If you don't like the result, there's nothing to refund. You never paid.
If you don't add a card, the free build stays up for 7 days. We'll send two or three short reminder emails during that week so you don't lose track, then it comes down on its own. Your account stays — sign back in any time and start a new build, and we'll remember your details so you don't start from scratch.
Monthly Hosting ($10–12/mo)
Keeping your site live costs $10 a month plus your actual AWS usage, itemized on the invoice — most sites land at $10–12 total. There's no contract, no minimum term, and nothing to pay upfront.
- Cancel anytime — billing stops, and your plan cancels forward. You keep service through the period you already paid for.
- We don't bill partial months, and we don't refund the unused part of one.
The One-Time Published Upgrade ($299) — Optional
This one is a choice, not a step you have to take. It connects your own domain, removes the small SiteGlowUp badge, and makes your site indexable on Google. It's charged once, at the moment you choose it — not at signup, and never as a condition of getting your site built or keeping it online. Plenty of customers run on the monthly plan for months and upgrade later; plenty never do.
Because we provision it immediately and automatically — your domain wiring, your SSL certificate, your CloudFront distribution, all live within seconds — the upgrade is non-refundable once it's done. You'll see exactly what you're buying, and the price, on the screen before you confirm. Your monthly plan stays cancel-anytime either way.
AI Credits
Credit purchases are non-refundable. We can't refund a pack, used or unused.
Credits never expire — they're yours as long as your account is active. Cancelling a site's hosting doesn't touch your balance; it ends only if you close the account.
One balance. The 5 credits every new account starts with, the 15 a month included with Growth, and any credits you buy all sit in the same balance under the same terms. The ones we grant you aren't purchased, so they have no cash value.
You never pay for a mistake. A credit is only spent when the work actually goes through. Refining a request before you approve it is free, and a job that fails to generate doesn't cost you a credit. If you were charged for something that didn't work, tell us and we put the credit back.
Disputes. If a credit purchase is disputed or reversed, the matching credits come off your balance. Please email us first — we'd much rather sort it out directly.
What Happens to Your Site When You Cancel
Cancelling is one click in Account → Billing, and it's safe. Your site doesn't vanish the moment you cancel:
- Right away — billing stops; your site stays online.
- For 5 days (the grace period) — your site keeps running and you can reactivate with one click from the Billing page if you change your mind. Nothing is lost during this window.
- After 5 days — the site is permanently removed from our hosting. It is not kept or archived, and removal can't be undone. But the files you export and your domain are always yours.
Your credit balance stays on your account for as long as the account is open — cancelling one site's hosting doesn't touch it. If you close the account, any unused balance goes with it.
You can export your whole site on any plan, and if you registered a domain through us it's in your name — keep it or transfer it out anytime. Full walk-through: Cancelling & Keeping Your Site.
AWS Hosting Costs
AWS infrastructure costs are passed through and itemized on your invoice. These are real charges from Amazon for serving your website. We cannot refund AWS costs because they're not our revenue — they're direct infrastructure expenses shown transparently on your invoice.
Domain Registrations
Domain registrations are non-refundable. When you register a domain through us we pay AWS for it upfront, and that charge can't be reversed. The domain is registered in your name and stays yours: keep it, transfer it to any registrar, or point it wherever you like.
Change Requests
Every site gets 5 free AI changes to start, then it's $1 per change. You never pay for a mistake:
- You describe what you want in plain English.
- You see a preview of the change.
- You can refine your request as many times as you need — refinements don't cost extra credits.
- A credit is only spent when the change actually goes through.
If you approve a change and it doesn't match what was shown in the preview, contact us and we'll fix it or put the credit back.
Generated Blog Posts
AI-generated blog posts are $1.00 per post, covered first by your free AI changes. A credit is only spent after a post is successfully generated. If the result is unusable (garbled output, completely off-topic, or it fails to generate), no credit is spent. Posts can start as drafts for your review, or you can enable auto-publish on a schedule (weekly, biweekly, or monthly). If you enable auto-publish, posts go live without manual review — you're responsible for the content on your site, though you can always edit or unpublish any post from your dashboard.
If You Were Charged in Error
We don't run a refund window — the sections above set out what's final and why. What we do correct is a genuine billing error: a duplicate charge, the wrong amount, or a charge on an account that isn't yours. Email support@siteglowup.ai with your account email and the date and amount of the charge, and we'll check it against our records and Stripe's. We respond within one business day. Where a charge really was a mistake on our side, the correction goes back to your original payment method via Stripe, typically within 5–10 business days.
Our Commitment
We built SiteGlowUp to be the opposite of the companies that make it easy to sign up and impossible to leave. That's why the build is free, the monthly plan cancels in one click, your files export on any plan, and your domain is in your name from day one. If something isn't right, tell us. We'd rather fix it and keep your trust than win on a technicality.
