Privacy Policy

The Short Version

We collect only what we need to run your website. We don't sell your data. We don't spam you. When you cancel, we delete everything. That's the policy. The rest of this page is the lawyer-friendly version.

Who We Are

SiteGlowUp is a product of Fireproof Studio LLC, registered at 212 W. Troy St., STE B, Dothan, AL 36303. For privacy-related inquiries, contact us at privacy@siteglowup.ai.

What We Collect

  • Account information: Your email address and password (stored securely via AWS Cognito). We use your email to log you in, send transactional emails about your site, and nothing else.
  • Payment information: Credit card details are collected and processed by Stripe. We never see, store, or have access to your full card number.
  • Website URLs: When you submit a site for redesign, we scrape the publicly available content at that URL to generate your redesign.
  • Site content: The HTML, CSS, images, and text that make up your website. This is stored on AWS S3 in the US East (Ohio) region.
  • Usage data: We use Google Analytics to understand how people use the marketing site (siteglowup.ai). This includes pages visited, time on site, and general device/browser information.

What We Don't Collect

  • We don't track your customers' behavior on your hosted website.
  • We don't collect social security numbers, government IDs, or sensitive personal information.
  • We don't build advertising profiles about you.
  • We don't buy or sell data from third-party brokers.

How We Use Your Data

  • To provide the service: Building, hosting, and managing your website.
  • To process payments: Charging your card via Stripe for setup fees, monthly platform fees, and AWS costs.
  • To communicate with you: Transactional emails only — site status updates, payment receipts, DNS migration notifications, and account alerts. No marketing drip campaigns.
  • To improve the product: Aggregated, anonymized usage data helps us understand which features matter.

Cookies

  • Authentication cookies: Required to keep you logged in. Set by AWS Cognito and our dashboard at app.siteglowup.ai.
  • Analytics cookies: Google Analytics sets cookies to measure site traffic on siteglowup.ai.
  • Advertising cookies: Google AdSense may set cookies for ad personalization on our marketing site. You can opt out via Google's ad settings.

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate SiteGlowUp:

  • AWS (Amazon Web Services): Infrastructure — hosting, databases, CDN, DNS, email sending (SES), AI processing (Bedrock). Data stored in US East (Ohio).
  • Stripe: Payment processing. Stripe's privacy policy governs how they handle your payment data.
  • Google Analytics: Website traffic measurement on our marketing site only.
  • Google AdSense: Advertising on our marketing site.

We do not share your personal information with any other third parties. These services receive only the minimum data required to perform their function.

AI Processing

When you submit a URL or request changes, your site content is processed by AI models (AWS Bedrock / Anthropic Claude) to generate designs, copy, and images. This processing happens on AWS infrastructure in the US. We do not use your content to train AI models — it is processed on-demand and not retained by the AI provider.

Email

We send transactional emails via Amazon SES. These include: account verification, password resets, site status updates, payment receipts, DNS migration notices, and payment failure alerts. We do not send marketing emails, newsletters, or promotional campaigns. If you receive email from us, it's because something happened with your account or your site.

We maintain an email suppression list to comply with bounce and complaint requirements. If your email bounces or you mark us as spam, we stop emailing you.

Data Retention

  • Active accounts: We retain your data for as long as your account is active.
  • After cancellation: You have 5 days to download your site files. After that, all site files, DNS records, CloudFront distributions, and associated data are permanently deleted.
  • Payment records: Stripe retains transaction records per their own policies. We retain billing metadata (invoice amounts, dates) for accounting purposes.
  • Free previews: Unclaimed previews are automatically deleted after 7 days.

Your Rights

Regardless of where you live, you can:

  • Access your data: Everything is visible in your dashboard.
  • Export your data: Download your site files anytime from your dashboard.
  • Delete your data: Cancel your account and all data is deleted within 6 days.
  • Contact us: Email privacy@siteglowup.ai for any privacy-related requests.

For Users in the European Economic Area (GDPR)

If you are located in the EEA, the UK, or Switzerland, the following additional rights and disclosures apply to you under the General Data Protection Regulation.

Legal Basis for Processing

We process your personal data under the following legal bases:

  • Contract performance: Processing your account information, site content, and payment data is necessary to provide the SiteGlowUp service you signed up for.
  • Legitimate interest: We use Google Analytics to understand how our marketing site is used and to improve the product. We have assessed that this interest does not override your privacy rights, and you can opt out at any time.

Your GDPR Rights

In addition to the general rights above, you have the right to:

  • Rectification: Request correction of inaccurate personal data.
  • Restriction: Request that we limit processing of your data in certain circumstances.
  • Portability: Receive your personal data in a structured, machine-readable format.
  • Object: Object to processing based on legitimate interest, including analytics.
  • Withdraw consent: Where processing is based on consent, withdraw it at any time without affecting prior processing.
  • Lodge a complaint: File a complaint with your local data protection authority.

Data Transfers

Your data is stored and processed in the United States (AWS US East, Ohio region). By using SiteGlowUp, you consent to the transfer of your data to the US. We rely on AWS's Data Processing Addendum and Stripe's data processing agreements, which include Standard Contractual Clauses, to ensure adequate protection of transferred data.

For California Residents (CCPA/CPRA)

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act and California Privacy Rights Act grant you additional rights regarding your personal information.

Categories of Personal Information Collected

  • Identifiers: Email address.
  • Commercial information: Purchase history, payment amounts, service tier.
  • Internet activity: Pages visited on siteglowup.ai, device/browser type (via Google Analytics).
  • Professional information: Business name and website URL you submit for redesign.

We Do Not Sell Your Personal Information

Fireproof Studio LLC does not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties. We have not sold personal information in the preceding 12 months. We do not sell the personal information of minors under 16.

We Do Not Share for Cross-Context Behavioral Advertising

We do not share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising purposes as defined under the CPRA. Google AdSense on our marketing site may use cookies for ad personalization, but this does not involve sharing your SiteGlowUp account data with advertisers.

Your CCPA Rights

  • Right to know: Request what personal information we've collected, the sources, the purposes, and the third parties we share it with.
  • Right to delete: Request deletion of your personal information. Cancel your account and all data is permanently deleted within 6 days.
  • Right to correct: Request correction of inaccurate personal information.
  • Right to opt out of sale: We don't sell your data, but you can still contact us to confirm this at any time.
  • Right to non-discrimination: We will not deny you service, charge different prices, or provide a different quality of service for exercising your CCPA rights.

How to Exercise Your Rights

Email privacy@siteglowup.ai with your request. We will verify your identity using the email address associated with your account and respond within 45 days. You may also designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf.

Security

Your data is encrypted in transit (TLS/HTTPS everywhere) and at rest (AWS server-side encryption). Authentication is handled by AWS Cognito with secure password hashing. API access is protected by rate limiting and WAF. We don't store passwords — Cognito handles that. We don't store credit cards — Stripe handles that.

Children

SiteGlowUp is not intended for anyone under 18. We don't knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we'll delete it immediately.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy. When we do, we'll update the date at the top and email active customers about material changes. Your continued use of the service after changes means you accept the updated policy.
